In 1988 St Piran's School was founded by Mr Jimmy Reid and his wife as a Preparatory School. The school is named for the patron saint of Cornwall and the school celebrates St. Piran's Day annually.
The school continued to be a family run establishment, under the joint Headship of Mr and Mrs Jones, until their retirement and the sale of the school to The London School of Commerce, a large multi-national education provider.
Mr Deryck Wilson was appointed Headteacher and began the development of the school as a provider of secondary education.
Under the current Headteacher, Mrs Carol de Labat, the school has further developed and consolidated the teaching of GCSE subjects. In 2013 the school celebrated its 25th anniversary and continues to provide high quality individual education
