London Residential 2019

London Residential 2019

Pupils from Years 8 ,9 ,10 and 11 went to London in June for a four day visit. On Friday we left our luggage at the the St. Paul's Youth Hostel and walked around the corner to the Beasts of London exhibition at the Museum of London, where we had a merry-go-round ride and saw the part animals played in the history of our capital city. On Friday evening we visited China Town but had our dinner at Pizza Express by popular request!

Early on Saturday we went to watch the changing of the guard at Buckingham Palace before a shopping expedition, which included a visit to the famous Hamleys Toyshop.

On Saturday evening we had an early dinner at the nearby Mc Donald's and went to see A Midsummer Night's Dream at the Globe Theatre as "groundlings".

On Sunday we took a flight on the Emirates cable car to Greenwich and went to the Maritime Museum followed byFish and Chips/kebabs/ felafal (or some other cosmopolitan delight!) al fresco in Greenwich Park, followed by a walk up the hill to the Royal Observatory, refreshed by ice cream.

On Monday we went all the way to Harry Potter World where one of our party had the honour of opening the doors to the Great Hall at Hogwartz as a birthday treat.

Please enjoy our highlights pictures below.
